This is the Artillery Park at Valley Forge where a book seller from Philadelphia whipped the raw recruits into a formidable opponent for the English gunners.

Here is a soldiers cabin,built to Washington's specs, 16 feet by 14 feet and at least 6 1/2 feet tall so he could stand up in them as he was 6'3" tall.

Here is the interior of a soldiers cabin. Twelve men slept in eaach of these. Their bunks line the walls.They are BARELY 5 foot long and 2 wide and only 2 feet between them.
